Spring Break Adventure Camp

Exploring News Learning for Life and Exploring ran it's annual Spring Break Adventure Camp where 63 Juinor High School boys stayed Monday through Friday. The kids had a great time while Rock Climbing, Mountain Biking, Cooking Outdoors, and the infamous Basketball Tournament! Exploring News The 2007 National Champion Mock Trial Explorers is offering a limited number of positions for the 2008 Mock Trial Team. This team will be selected from participants at the Explorers Site at the Office of Kings County District Attorney, Charles J. Hynes.&nbsp; If selected to participate, you will prepare for competition o&shy;n a weekly basis by learning trial techniques from members of the Kings County District Attorney’s Office.&nbsp; Our team will travel to the University of Massachusetts at Lowell and participate in the Explorers Mock Trial National Competition from July 23rd to July 27th, 2008.

Rock Climbing, Swimming, & Team Building!

Exploring News Take advantage of our great facilities in Staten Island & New Jersey where schools groups come out for day trips and overnight adventures. Teachers and students get to go rock climbing, swimming, and challenge themselves on our Low C.O.P.E. course. You will learn about several departments in the hospital and get a behind-the-scenes look at the jobs here. We will be holding our first informational meeting on Tuesday, March 25. Exploring News Nancy Goldman and Friends is scheduled to host their one-day session on Wednesday, March 12. Students will be able to hear some of today's top comics tell them how to make it in the comedy business.

The special guests include Wali Collins from The Late Show with David Letterman, Comedy Central, and HBO and Erik Rivera a regular at The Comedy Celler and the Broadway Comedy Club in NYC.

Students will be able to see them perform and learn how to write jokes, the keys to a good performance, and how to make a career out of comedy.

If students are interested in the entertainment/comedy industry please have them RSVP as soon as possible. This program can accept up to a 100 students so please tell students to bring friends as long as they RSVP before attending the session....REFRESHMENTS WILL BE SERVED!!!

Exploring News On Friday March 7 Pace University will host "Women in Computing" on the NYC Campus. This event will bring together hundreds of young women from schools in the tri-state area.

Educators and parents are invited to bring classes and/or daughters to Pace University for this Exciting event.

Lunch will be served and a highly interactive educational program will continue throughout the day that will conclude with exciting giveaways and prizes!

Explorers Experience the Museum of Arts and Design

Explorer Post News New York, NY-March 21, 2006- Since 1956, the Museum of Arts and Design has presented modern art to the natives and tourists of New York City. Aliza Boyer, the Senior Manager for Education at the museum, worked with Explorers exposing them to work contributed to the artistic world, by artists who are still living today, hence witnessing modern art.
